Our summer of fun continued with a trip to the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos in July! What could be more fun than going on a tropical vacation?..... Going on a tropical vacation with 16 friends!!! What made it even more fun was the all inclusive Club Med we stayed at. There was never a dull moment with this group, and at any given time you could find a group of your friends either eating, sailing, laying out, swimming, or just sitting in the water in our favorite "ocean circle"! The trip came about while one of my bf's, Brandee, was trying to decide what to do for her 30th Birthday! She is quite the planner, and has such a great group of friends, including us! It just so happened that there were quite a few of us that wanted to join the celebration, and we made some new "mutual" friends that we will be friends with for the rest of our lives, and hopefully vacation together forever! Brandee decided on the island and the hotel was just a perfect fit being "all inclusive" for this size of group. The hotel was only 40% full, so with a group our size, they always knew when "Texas" was coming! The hotel not only included all food and drinks, but included pilates, yoga, water aerobics in the ocean, free sailing lessons and use of the sailboats, windsurfing, tennis lessons, every sport imaginable, and twice a day free snorkeling excursions. However, I do have to admit that my favorite included activity was learning how to do the flying trapeze! You had to have a quick lesson, then they turned you loose to climb the ladder and test your skills! I'm sad to say I didn't get to do this as much as I wanted. The first full day of being in Turks, I came down with some sort of bug and was in bed the entire day sick! Luckily they actually have great satellite t.v. with tons of channels.
