NYC is a happy place to be!

Brandee and I went to NYC in June, to visit our friends Jen and Stephanie who we met last year while on vacation in Turks and Caicos!  Jen has been to DFW a few times for work in the last year, and we've enjoyed getting to know a great friend!  We had a fun long weekend in NYC/Jersey City, and have the pictures to prove it!

Dinner at Koi in the Bryant Park Hotel

My step-brother Chris is one of the managers!

Love this blurry ipone picture of us, reminds me of a fun night!

Our hotel was a few blocks from times square, so we "chose" to walk through each night on our way home.  We could have gotten off the subway right outside of the hotel, but what's the fun in that???

Saturday morning we went to the Alexander McQueen exhibit "Savage Beauty" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The rest of the pictures are out of order, this was dinner in Jersey City at Michael Anthony's, with a gorgeous view of NYC.

Happy to have met these girls on vacation, cheers to new lifelong friends!

Time for some dancing!

What a cute couple!

Sleepy late night train ride back to the city.

I've never seen the city this dead...we caught a cab to the hotel this night!

While in NYC we continued our cupcake tour, this one had yummy cake balls!

Oh, the energy of times square is infectious!

We stopped our hotel bar to watch the mavs and have a little night cap!

A wall in our hotel, ode to Judy

And, this was in the elevator

Second night, we went out in the Lower East Side.

Complete with fire throwing bartenders.  This bar was crowded, so we headed upstairs to see if it was less crowded.  We found an un-occupied VIP area and asked the private vip area bouncer if we could hang out there, so.....

We had our own dance party! The other people in the club didn't know we were just "let in" to the vip area!

Funny how Steph and I are dancing exactly the same!

Just in case you didn't know, I love to dance!  And yes, I'm barefoot...in a bar...in nyc...don't ask!

The VIP room was huge!

What do you do with so much space?
You pick up Steph!
Yay for fun!

Love these girls!

Teach me how to dougie.

Billy's bakery on our cupcake tour.

Not our favorite.

I'd like to thank Melissa for making such delicious cupcakes.  They are tiny, but delicious!

Carnegie Deli was next door to our hotel, so we grabbed a quick lunch!

Mmmmm, pastrami!

I wish I could have put this in my suitcase, its from Mood (the fabric store from Project Runway).

Welcome to Mood.

Make it work.

Thank you mood.

Daytime Times Square

We met some of my family for brunch, and got to play with my adorable niece Lilah!

A shoe boutique in the Upper East Side with a wall of shoes.

Frozen Hot Chocolate anyone?

Yes, please!  And a "cowards" size banana split

Yes, its as good as it looks!

Something I never thought I'd see at DFW airport!  Are the Amish allowed to fly?  Guess so!
